Teaching Soft Skills

 

Here you will find resources to support the delivery of a soft skills module. This module is centred on student learning and development and seeks to support and motivate you by helping you become a more effective, independent and confident self-directed learner. It directly responds to a call from employers to Universities to pay more attention to these skills as they become increasingly important in the labour market http://www.ipq.org.ua/en/news/93. It improves your capacity to learn and encourages you to monitor, reflect on, evaluate, plan and take responsibility for your own learning. This module takes a student centered active learning approach with interactive workshops and independent group and individual work complementing the lecture sessions. You will create and maintain a Personal Development Plan (PDP) which is used as a repository for seminar exercises, work in progress, reflections on learning, etc. This PDP is shared with your module tutors to provide formative feedback and support your progress through the module. This PDP can be taken with you into your chosen career path in order to help with Professional Registration and/or Chartership.
